Sharla is a multidisciplinary aerialist, dancer, actor, and ex-artistic gymnast.
While completing a Masters in Neuroscience at Cambridge University,
Sharla started aerial classes and found a love for circus arts;
writing and directing her own circus show after graduating. She then
completed My Aerial Home’s 1 Month EAC Foundation Course in 2019.
Since then Sharla has been teaching and performing around the UK, as
well as performing on cruise ships since 2021, including as show
captain and circus consultant for RWS. Most recently Sharla performed
onboard Arvia for Air Dance Productions.
Sharla has also spent time in Montréal, creating 5 shows with Cirque
Éloize and director of Cirque du Soleil’s “BAZZAR” Susan Gaudreau.
Later performing these shows onboard Sun Princess.
Sharla has been teaching aerial since 2019, building upon her coaching
skills from teaching gymnastics since 2011 and gaining her Level 2
qualification. In 2025, Sharla also completed Bryan Donaldson’s High
Performance Rigging course.
