Bara Dankova

Teacher

With a background in athletics and dance, Bara found the perfect blend of physical training and creative expression in aerial arts. Being in the scouts as a child ignited her passion for tying herself into knots and she finally signed up for that silks class on her year abroad in Chile during her degree in German, Spanish and linguistics. While working as a software engineer post-graduation, Bara started teaching at the Aerial Edge circus school in Glasgow and ended up leaving the world of tech for the 3-year course at the National Centre for Circus Arts, where she specialises in cyr wheel. She has performed on silks, rope and aerial harness and has a keen interest in creative rigging. Bara is also an advocate for social circus and believes that anyone can try a class, regardless of age and movement experience.
